Natural History: Hector's Goby is found individually on sand substrates in sheltered bays and inner reefs. It is normally found near the sand and generally hunts at the sand and rock surface for food.
Husbandry: The Hector's Goby is an excellent addition to a reef aquarium. It should be provided with live rock providing numerous hiding places. It is peaceful and may only be territorial with other benthic gobies.
