Natural History: Maculiceps Tangs are found individually or in small groups on outer reef areas. Its teeth are adapted for feeding on algae and it prefers filamentous or leafy types. It usually feeds in schools of with other species of tangs.
Husbandry: Maculiceps Tangs will not likely tolerate other Acanthurus tangs in an home aquarium. This fish should be fed a varied diet for best success.
