Natural History: The Powder Brown Tang is found in groups on clear lagoons and seaward reef zones.
Husbandry: In an aquarium, hiding places should be provided for the Powder Brown Tang. It is docile and should only be housed with other unaggressive fish. Aquarium acclimation may require macroalgae to initiate feeding. It feeds on fleshy macroalgae, and may nip at stony coral polyps if underfed.
