Natural History: The Porcelain Crab is found among rocky reef zones, hiding in crevices among the rocks. They use feeding appendages to net food from the water which they pass to their mouth. Some species are associated with anemones. Some species are reported to be able to drop a claw when alarmed, to serve as a decoy while they escape predation. They are nocturnal.
Husbandry: The Porcelain Crab will accept most types of aquarium food, especially meaty offerings. They should be housed in an aquarium with plenty of live rock to give them ample hiding places. They are often observed waving their feeding palps in the water to catch food.
