Natural History: The Sexy Shrimp is symbiotic with anemones, but some larger clownfish (Amphiprion clarkii) may not tolerate them on their anemone and kill them. In the Caribbean, the sexy shrimp is found with the Caribbean carpet anemone, Stichodactyla heliathus. It is found in large groups hosting with a single anemone.
Husbandry: Captive Sexy Shrimp should be kept in groups of 3 or 4 with one anemone. The shrimp is harmless to the anemone even though it may graze some outer tissue from it.
