Natural History: The Anemone Crab is a symbiont that lives on large clownfish-host anemones. This crab species is a filter feeder that uses a basket type palp (feeding appendage) to filter suspended particles from the water.
Husbandry: The Anemone Crab may scavenge aquarium foods but prefers to eat suspended food in the water column. If clownfish drive the Anemone Crab from its host anemone, the crab may decline and die.
