They are similar in features to the blennies with disproportionately large heads, eyes, and jaws. They have cycloid scales (overlapping) and a long dorsal fin. Diet: They feed on crustaceans. Final Note: Most jawfish are easy to maintain but require a soft substrate for digging. They can jump and a good aquarium lid is required to keep them contained.
