Green Bubble Tip Anemone   (Entacmaea quadricolor)
Family: Actiniidae (Anemones)
Habitat: reef areas with sediment and rock with moderate to strong water flow
Light: High   Water Flow: Medium   Space: 50+ gal.
Reef Safe: Yes   Care Level: Easy   Temperament: Caution
Diet: Fish, crustaceans
Natural History: The Green Bubble Tip Anemone can have several different colors. The anemone only has 'bubble tips' at rest. When the anemone feeds, it extends the tentacles to 'sweeper' length to catch prey. It normally attaches its pedal disc to a piece of dead coral within a dead coral skeleton that keeps it well protected.
Husbandry: Entacmaea prefers moderate to strong water flow and bright light. It thrives best with supplements of meaty foods. It may occasionally feed on ornamental fish in the aquarium. Anemone fishes often associate with this species.

AKA: Bulb-tip Anemone
