:  The Trumpetfishes
Taxonomy: Gasterosteiformes, Trumpetfishes  (Aulostomidae)
General Information: There is only one genera and 3 species within the Trumpetfish family. Their body is extremely elongaed with expandable jaws. They have barbels on their chin and use dorsal and anal fin undulations to propel them when swimming slowly.
Diet: These fish feed on smaller rish and crustaceans.
Final Note: The trumpetfishes generally thrive in aquaria but will require 200 gallons of space when they grow to full size. Juveniles are often seen in seagrass beds while adults are associated with rocky or coral reefs.
