Natural History: Randall's Goby is normally found in clear water on sandy reef bottoms where it is associated with Alphaeid shrimp. The shrimp builds the burrow and the goby keeps careful watch at the entrance of the burrow. If danger appears, a flick of the tail communicates to the shrimp that it must retreat.
Husbandry: Randall's Goby may be aggressive only with other Randall's Gobies in the aquarium. If more than one is present, provide numerous burrows to avoid aggression. It is a great addition to a reef aquarium.
