Natural History: The Redfin Fairy Wrasse is found on reef slopes among corals and rubble. It is usually found mixed-species groups with other fairy wrasses. Males are reported to cover large reef areas and engage in colorful displays that include fin extension and color intensification.
Husbandry: The Redfin Fairy Wrasse is considered a hardy aquarium species. Males are likely to be aggressive toward other fairy wrasses. This species is considered an excellent addition to shallow or deep-water systems. It should be housed with peaceful tankmates.
