Natural History: The Scribbled Rabbitfish is found in groups on coral-rich lagoons and seaward reefs. Adults move to deep water lagoons and reef edges to feed on benthic algae. Juveniles are observed in schools.
Husbandry: The Scribbled Rabbitfish is an herbivore that requires a large swimming space to thrive. It may pick at the polyps of stony corals if not well fed. It must be handled with care due to its possession of venomous dorsal spines.
