Natural History: The Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse is found on rocky reefs with abundant macroalgae. It commonly found near different types of soft corals. It aggregates with other flasher wrasse species. Males are observed to be territorial with their own and other species.
Husbandry: Carpenter's Wrasses are shy during acclimation but males become more aggressive once they have completed acclimation. It is a hardy aquarium species.
Reproduction: This species hybridizes with Sharpfinned Flashwer Wrasses (P. angulatus).
