Natural History: The Yellow and Purple Wrasse is found in small groups of females with a single male, deep over sandy bottom reefs. It is usually found in small caves and shelters that have abundant invertebrate populations. It is a deep water species.
Husbandry: Male Yellow and Purple Wrasses are best kept one per tank. Females are less aggressive towared one another and can be kept in groups.
