Natural History: The Lineatus Fairy Wrasse is usually found on deep slopes and reef dropoffs. It is most abundant below 100 feet. It often forms large shoals and mixed feeding groups with other fairy wrasses The males often display for females or even other males.
Husbandry: Lineatus Fairy Wrasses are hardy wrasses in aquaria. Smaller individuals acclimate more readily than larger ones. They should only be placed with peaceful tankmates. They should not be placed in a community tank with other planktivores such as dottybacks or anthias/pseudanthias since the Lineatus Fairy Wrasse may not feed adequately.
