They grow in areas of the reef that are deeper and shadowed by other corals or rock structures. Husbandry: These gorgonians are aposymbiotic - they do not possess zooxanthellate algae. They must be fed microplankton to survive in aquaria. They will become overgrown with algae if even moderate light is offered so they must be kept in a dim aquarium or under overhangs. | ||||
