Natural History: The Cleaner Shrimps are detritivores that also serve as cleaners on reefs. This species sets up stations where fish report and often flare their opercula open so the cleaner shrimp can walk over them and pick off copepod and amphipod parasites.
Husbandry: The Skunk Cleaner Shrimp is an effective scavenger in captivity. It may remove food from corals and sea anemones. It will live several years in captivity.
