Natural History: Pom Pom crabs are found on coral reefs. These crabs carry anemones on their claws. Their name refers to the interesting appearance the anemones make on their claws.
Husbandry: Pom Pom Crabs are believed to be generally safe with corals but some aquarists caution the interaction of their symbiotic anemones with corals. The crabs unusual coloration serves to camouflage it against rocks. The Pom Pom Crab is small and should not be housed with large fish. Rocks should be provided for its security.
