Natural History: The Kuekenthali Cleaner Shrimp is a reclusive shrimp species found on coral reefs. It is normally nocturnal and not observed by day. It has been observed to act as a cleaner and remove parasites from the skin of fish.
Husbandry: The Kuekenthali Cleaner Shrimp is reported to eat pest anemones and normal reef anemones. It is hardy but needs some type of refuge to hide in. Low light levels may encourage the shrimp to be more active by day. They are efficient scavengers and may serve as cleaners in captivity.
