Natural History: The Red Foot Moon Snail is an avid feeder on algae in rocky reef zones. It eats filamentous alga, cyanobacteria, and diatoms.
Husbandry: The Red Foot Moon Snail can be used to control nuisance algae in captivity. An aquarium with live rock and a healthy growth of algae is an excellent place for this snail. It is best kept between 72°F and 78°F. It will only feed on algae.
