Natural History: The Scarface Blenny is found on shallow coral-rich and rocky reefs. It is reported to be one of the most common blennies in the Hawaiian Island reef systems but is difficult to observe because it retreats into crevices when approached.
Husbandry: The Scarface Blenny should be housed in an aquarium with live rock to provide ample food and hiding places. Otherwise peaceful, this species is likely to be territorial and aggressive with other benthic fish such as blennies.
