Reef Safe: Yes Care Level: Moderate Temperament: Peaceful Diet: Zooplankton Natural History: Square Anthias is found on reef dropoffs with tidal currents, usually in excess of 100 feet. It is usually observed in groups of a single male with many females. Husbandry: The Square Anthias is best housed in an aquarium with some live rock to provide the hiding places it will need to retreat into when threatened. It also needs tank space to provide swimming room. It is shy immediately after introduction but will emerge to feed on brine shrimp, live or frozen.
