Natural History: The Curious Dartfish is found on slopes with sand, rubble, or mud bottoms. It is observed singly or in pairs. It is a burrower.
Husbandry: The Curious Dartfish should be housed in a sand-bottom system to allow it to burrow. It is peaceful and tolerant enough of its own species that more than one can be housed together but they should be introduced simultaneously. It should not be housed with aggressive fish or larger predators as it may easily become food.
